BRIDGESTONE SET TO MAKE BOOM ON TOUR WITH YOUNG GUNS IN 2007
Bridgestone Looking for Big Things from Trio of 2006 Nationwide Grads
Covington, Ga. — Bridgestone Golf, already well-established with PGA TOUR
icons like Fred Couples, Nick Price and Stuart Appleby, is adding a shot of youth
to its TOUR team lineup in 2007. Matt Kuchar, Brandt Snedeker and Kevin Stadler,
a trio of rising stars that made hay on the Nationwide Tour last season will join
Couples and Appleby in carrying the Bridgestone Golf flag on the PGA TOUR this season.
Kuchar, a PGA TOUR winner as a rookie is making his return to the TOUR in 2007,
and with a bag of Bridgestone equipment, he is feeling confident.
“I am excited about returning to the TOUR this year with a few years under my belt,”
said Kuchar. “I’ve grown a lot as a golfer since my last year on TOUR and I expect
that my experience as well as a fine-tuning of my game will yield long-term success.
After being with Bridgestone for over 5 years, I’ve grown accustomed to having the
best technology available in my equipment, so that is also a source of confidence
as I return to the TOUR.”
This year Kuchar will be playing the Bridgestone Golf J33R driver, J33 Cavity Back
irons (4-PW), #3 J33 AirMuscle Utility Club and the new Tour B330-S golf balls.
Brandt Snedeker, a former U.S. Pub-Links Champion and 2-time winner on the Nationwide
Tour in 2006 also has full status on the PGA TOUR in 2007, by virtue of his 9th
place finish on the Nationwide Money List. Snedeker also will rely on the new B330-S
golf ball in all professional competitions in 2007.
“The ball gives me even more distance off the tee than the original, and the feel
and spin control are noticeably improved as well. This ball makes me confident that
I have equipment that will perform under the rigorous conditions, typically associated
with the TOUR.” Completing the trio of “Bridgestone Young Guns” is the recently
signed Kevin Stadler. Stadler also was a 2-time winner on the Nationwide Tour last
year and is poised to make quite a splash on the PGA TOUR. Stadler will rely on
the new Tour B330 golf ball in all professional competitions in 2007.
