BRIDGESTONE ADDS SOME POP TO EXPANDING TOUR TEAM
Bridgestone Golf Signs Rising Star Kevin Stadler to a Multi-Year Deal
Covington, Ga. — Bridgestone Golf announced today that it has added some
young star power to its growing TOUR Team, with the addition of 2006 Nationwide
Tour grad, Kevin Stadler.
In 2007, Stadler will play the new TOUR B330 golf ball in all professional competition.
Stadler expects to put the new sphere in play at the first full field event of the
year, the 2007 Sony Open at Waialae Country Club in Honolulu, HI. In addition to
the new TOUR B330, Stadler will be a Bridgestone endorser from head-to-toe emblazoned
with a Bridgestone Golf logo on his cap, glove, shirt and staff bag in all 2007
professional events and appearances.
"Kevin turned a lot of heads last year at the WGC Bridgestone Invitational, securing
a Top 15 finish after four very solid rounds of golf on a major championship caliber
course, at Firestone Country Club,” said Dan Murphy. “We are pleased to have him
join our team and know that as a representative of the Bridgestone brand he will
be a lot of fun to watch in 2007."
In 2006, Stadler recorded three worldwide victories with his first European Tour
win coming at the 2006 Johnnie Walker Classic. His additional two victories were
Nationwide Tour titles, coming at the 2006 Xerox Classic and Albertson’s Boise Open.
While the terms of the deal will remain undisclosed at this time, the company is
pleased to report the contract is for a multi-year deal.
Along with Stadler, current Bridgestone Tour team members Matt Kuchar and Brandt
Snedeker have also secured full exempt status on the PGA TOUR in 2007, thanks to
their top 20 finishes on the Nationwide Tour, as well. For more information on the
