Bridgestone J33™ Forged Titanium Drivers And Stainless Steel Fairway Woods Provide Added Boom to Skilled Golfers' Games
Forged Drivers and Woods Designed for Added Distance and Control
Covington, Ga. — The new Bridgestone J33 Forged Titanium drivers feature Bridgestone Golf's most cutting edge
technology to date. The designers at Bridgestone Golf utilized a specialized welding process and the highest grade
of titanium on the market to produce two longer, more accurate drivers, the J33P™ and J33R™ Forged Titanium drivers.
The J33P Driver features a 375 cc, pear-shaped clubhead designed to yield a slightly lower launch. While the J33R Driver
boasts a 420 cc traditional oversized clubhead designed for a slightly higher launch, with less spin. Both the J33P and
J33R Drivers, designed for high launch, low spin, are crafted from Forged Beta Titanium, the highest grade of titanium on
the market, providing golfers with unrivaled feel and forgiveness.
In addition, both of the new Bridgestone Golf driver models have undergone a stringent Exterior Crown Welding process that
helps to position the center of the faceplate closer to the center of the clubface, maximizing velocity and expanding the
"The new Forged Beta Titanium has allowed our engineers to liberally alter the shape and thickness of the clubface, while
maintaining its structural durability," said Mike Moxie, Golf Club Marketing Coordinator, Bridgestone Golf, Inc. The result
is a club that provides greater feel and feedback to the player at impact. When combined with our proprietary Exterior Crown
Welding process, the results will astound golfers."
But the innovation does not stop there. The new Bridgestone J33 series drivers also feature an elastomer compound insert
within the clubhead for reducing vibration throughout the crown, sole and face of the club. The reduction in vibration accounts
for a more efficient energy transfer resulting in more distance.
The J33R and J33P drivers also both contain a tungsten weight in the sole, which helps to lower and deepen the center of
gravity creating an optimized launch and ball flight for golfers.
And last, but certainly not least, the engineers at Bridgestone have used a new Low Modulus (Thin) Crown in the driver face.
The crown bows slightly at impact adding loft to the clubhead, which enhances the vertical gear effect of the driver. The
enhanced vertical gear effect then leads to an even higher launch and further decreased backspin off the tee.
Both Bridgestone Golf J33 driver models are available in 8.5, 9.5 and 10.5 degrees of loft and come standard with an Aldila
NV 65 graphite shaft and Golf Pride® grips. Custom shaft and grip options will be available. The Bridgestone J33R and
J33P driver will feature a suggested retail price of $499 and will be available at golf specialty stores and green grass
retailers nationwide in early 2005.
Reach More Par 5's in Two with the J33 Fairway Woods
Complementing the new drivers from Bridgestone Golf are the J33 fairway Woods. The J33 fairway woods combine precision and
power to offer skilled golfers accuracy off of the tee and a more effective weapon for attacking Par 5's in two. The J33
fairway woods are made from incredibly responsive 17-4 stainless steel, creating more explosive distance and unparalleled
The woods feature a head design that employs the same elastomer compound and tungsten-weighting system as used in the drivers.
By doing so, these fairway woods produce penetrating shots with extreme precision.
The J33 fairway woods are available in a 3-wood (15-degrees), 5-wood (18-degrees) and a 7-wood (21-degrees) and all come
standard with an Aldila NV 75 graphite shaft.
The clubs will come at a $249 suggested retail price and will also be available in early 2005 at golf specialty stores and
green grass retailers nationwide.
