Kimbell Booms It To First Nationwide Victory at Longest Course in Tour's History

Nationwide Tour Rookie Records 1st Professional Win for New Bridgestone Tour B330-S

Covington, Ga. — Nationwide Tour rookie and Bridgestone Golf tour team member John Kimbell used his prodigious length in negotiating the windy weekend conditions and the 7,781 yard Kinderlou Forest Golf Club at the inaugural South Georgia Classic this weekend in route to a tournament winning 10-under par performance.

Kimbell, who is currently ranked #7 among the 2007 Nationwide Tour driving distance leaders (averaging 312.7 yards per drive), relied on the new Bridgestone Golf Tour B330-S golf ball in his impressive performance. Averaging well over 300 yards per tee shot over the four days of the event and finishing in a tie for first in birdies made, Kimbell recorded the only sub-70 round in the field on Sunday.

In just six career starts on the Nationwide TOUR Kimbell has recorded three Top 20 finishes and with the $108,000 first place check he moves into #2 on the 2007 Nationwide Tour Money List.

"John is very long and that has certainly helped him this year as the layouts have grown lengthier and more difficult on the Nationwide Tour," said Todd Corum, Developmental Tours Representative – Bridgestone Golf, Inc. "All of our players really seem to see a difference with the B330 balls when it comes to playing in windy conditions. I think they really value the consistency and wind-cheating design of our Seamless Cover Technology."

This most recent victory is the second victory for Kimbell in seven months at Kinderlou Forest Golf Club, as he recorded his third Hooters Tour Victory on the same track in September of 2006.
