Bridgestone Helps Power Every to PGA Tour Card
Bridgestone Rising Star Trusts 4-piece B330-S and J36 Combo Irons in Nationwide Tour Championship Triumph
Covington, GA - Last January, when highly-touted Matt Every signed with Bridgestone Golf he cited the company's ability
to provide a golf ball and irons that could help him realize his dream of playing on the PGA TOUR, as the main reason for
his decision. This weekend at the Nationwide Tour Championship at Daniel Island, in Charleston, S.C., Every used a combination
of Bridgestone's J36 precision forged irons and the TOUR B330-S Golf Ball, to make that dream a reality. Every blistered
the par-72 Ralston Creek course at Daniel Island Club, carding a 267 (22-under) total, including a 63 in round 2. The three-shot
victory earned Every a $180,000 payday and vaulted him from 49th to 10th place on the 2009 Nationwide Tour Money list, with
the top 25 earning their 2010 PGA TOUR cards.
"Matt has shown great promise on the Nationwide Tour in 2009," said Dan Murphy,
Senior Director of Marketing - Bridgestone Golf, Inc. "He was in contention up until the end in a few events and overall
his consistency kept him in the running to land that elusive PGA TOUR card right until the end. We're pleased that Matt
put his trust in Bridgestone this year and that we helped him achieve the first stage of his lofty career goals. We're confident
that with Bridgestone at his side, the best is yet to come for Matt Every."
In his victory Every had the following Bridgestone equipment in his bag:
