COVINGTON, GA — Bridgestone Tour team member and LPGA star Paula Creamer relied on Bridgestone's new TOUR B330-RX with Hydro Core technology this weekend in her march to victory at the 2014 HSBC Women's Champions event in Singapore. Using the increased distance of the new B330-RX ball to her full advantage, Creamer reached the par 5 second playoff hole in two, setting up a remarkable 75-foot eagle putt that she holed for the win.
Creamer's dramatic win with the TOUR B330-RX gives the brand's new Hydro Core technology its second LPGA TOUR victory in three weeks. Hydro Core technology uses water during the core curing process to produce 30% more gradation from the inside to outside of the core - creating greater spin reduction for longer distance and improved accuracy.
Creamer enjoyed the benefits of Hydro Core in firing a final round 69 to earn her way into the sudden death playoff. The HSBC Champions win represents Creamer's 10th career victory and her first since the 2010 U.S. Open.
"The new B330-RX is just incredible from tee-to-green, and I could tell immediately when I tested the prototype version late last year that I was getting better distance and less spin off the tee," said Creamer. "My game is really coming into form and that combined with the extra distance I'm getting from the new Hydro Core technology has me super excited for what lies ahead in 2014."
"Paula looks great to start 2014 and to breakthrough and win against a field like this featuring 19 of the Top 20 players in the world, is a great sign for what is to come this season," said Dan Murphy, Executive Vice President of Sales and Marketing - Bridgestone Golf, Inc. "Paula has really gained some distance as a result of the Hydro Core technology in the new B330-RX, and that added power with her laser like iron approaches and clutch putting will be fun to watch this year."
