What first caught my eye was the sheer good looks of the J40, but I knew that would not be solely enough for me to replace my current Cleveland irons. However, after hitting them just a few times and feeling the soft yet purely solid feel of the J40's I fell for them and haven't looked back. The thin top line and large sweet spot is a great confidence builder at address and for me just looks right. Well done Bridgestone. You got a winner here!

Got the J40 DP irons two weeks ago and am loving them. I switched from my tried and trusted Cleveland TA7 irons after hitting a few in a pro shop one day. I already have the J38 driver and 3 wood, so I know I liked the clubs. But these are the smoothest feeling clubs I've ever hit. The Rifle X shafts make it feel like you're SLICING THROUGH BUTTER!! Best irons on the market hands down!!

My 3rd set of BS irons.. started with j33 combos and now J40 PCs.. they say BS has a cult following.. well deserved.. I have been alternately a Titleist and Mizuno forged iron guy but everything about these irons say Go to me.. solid and smooth.. I have played them a week and have hit a lot of greens. Have 950 nippons in them.. looking forward to hitting more greens.. just great set for the low single digit guy.

I just got the J40 DC irons and I must admit these are the most forgiving, softest, best irons I have ever played. The project X shafts are so consistent especially for amateur golfers like myself. The look of these clubs are so clean and the nickel brush finish are by far the easiest to look at when your looking down at the club. HIGHLY recommended for mid level to low handicapper. I'm telling you guys these are the BEST irons out there!

Mike, the all hybrid set are for the atfindee higher handicappers. You will not get much spin on the ball. IMO, in the scoring irons, you will need some spin in order to stop the ball on the green from 150 yards and in. The ball has a lot to do with this as well. As a rule of thumb, a ball with a softer cover, will help the ball check up on the greens. Since you are a 12-13 handicapper, you will probably not be too happy with the all hybrid set and may want to consider a blended set of hybrids if you want them and maybe CB2 irons in the scoring irons, maybe even in the 6 iron if you prefer. I hope this helps!

Super excited to try these irons - I just bought them this week in the Rifle ProX Flighted 5.5 flex... I have been playing / tinkering with the following since mid-last year: 1) Ping i15's with AWT shafts 2) Callaway RAZR Tour with Rifle ProX Flighted 5.5 3) 2011 Titleist AP2 with Rifle ProX 5.5 My concerns are Distance & Accuracy... I want my 8 iron to go 150 yds. and I want CONSISTENCY more then anything on my trajectory and shot shaping. (I know it's a LOT to ask!) I am a 5 handicap and know a thing or 2 about clubs since I used to work in the industry with Hogan and Spalding/Top-Flite which is now Callaway... So we just got another 2" of snow... but I am sure the shoreline of CT was not hit so I can get out next week and try these irons... I'll post something after I play with these within 2 weeks...

I've had my new J-40's for about 2 weeks. I am extremely pleased with my decision to purchase these clubs. These sticks are sweet! Very nice feel off the face and the stock PX shafts are amazing. I have played twice with these and the turf interaction is everything that has been mentioned by Tour Pro's currently playing these. Great job BSG!!

Recently, I put a few of the DPC into play and have to say I am throughly pleased with the results. Good distance and dispersion. Nice feel and forgiveness as well as great playablity. Very easy to play a variety of shots with the DPC. Excellent set of irons, great job!

I have played about 5 rounds with my new J40 DPC's. I was a little nervous about how easy these would be to hit and if they would have decent forgiveness, having used a game-improvement iron prior to these. There was nothing to worry about. In fact, every time I play with these I like them more and more. Distance control is very consistent and much improved vs. the clubs I had prior to these. The trajectory from the J40's with the Project X flighted shafts is just right, as well -- high, but not too much so. I'm very glad to have purchased these. Thanks Bridgestone!

Irons on order. Waiting patiently. Looked at Mizzy, Titleist, Adams and TM. I was leaning towards the Mizzy's. Saw a set of J-38's in a consignment rac and gave them a test. Whoa, they were sweet. went back the next day to buy and they were sold. After researching the the J-40's and Mizzy MP-59's, the obvious choice? J-40's for me.Guess I'll have to try the balls now too!
