Position Summary

The ERP Business Analyst will work within Bridgestone Golf resources supporting the SAP ByDesign application belonging to the Bridgestone Golf business unit. The SAP ByDesign application supports multiple functional areas (e.g. Finance, Procurement, Manufacturing, Operations, Quality, Shipping and HR). This position, under general supervision, will be responsible for new or enhanced development of the application, operational report development using SAP report design, lobby/dashboard setup, E-Workflow, custom processes, as well as security permissions and profiles. Additional responsibilities for maintenance and support for the SAP ByDesign application may include: Ability to administer multiple instances - Custom objects - Data archives- Security permissions and Solution management. Must fully support third party application integration such as EDI, E-Commerce, B2B and B2C applications, and provide general resolution identification, remediation, testing, compliance, and adherence to security / change processes, as well as producing and maintaining documentation. This position will interact with users and subject matter experts at all levels including upper management.

Responsibilities

  • ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Upgrade and support ERP software to increase process efficiency and transparency
  • Work with cross functional departments to gather all the data related to current manufacturing, supply chain, maintenance and finance processes.
  • Analyze all current business functions to identify opportunities for system improvements.
  • Provide project risk analysis and mitigation planning.
  • Perform project management duties to control all phases of the project lifecycle.
  • Engage senior subject matter experts and operation leaders in process improvement initiatives.
  • Manage improvement projects from conception to execution to ensure on time, on budget with mitigated risk.
  • Ensure user acceptance testing meets all department and cross-department requirements.
  • Perform time study to collect data post implementation to report improvements to senior management at the end of the project.
  • Facilitate and execute training and communication plan with SME to train employees on new processes.
  • Conduct training needs analysis to meet business needs and assist in developing and providing training materials and standard operating procedures
  • Partner with enterprise operations to reinforce consistent process execution.
  • Oversee creation of custom reports and all BI reporting initiatives.
  • Monitor system changes and analyze impacts on business requirements.
  • Position is temporarily hybrid and still requires regular onsite attendance (2-3 times a week).
     

Role Specifications:
 

  • Minimum of 3 Years SAP ERP Software Support - SAP ByDesign is ideal.
  • Proficient in software upgrades, small enhancement projects and new implementations.
  • Excellent client-facing written and verbal communication skills.
  • Expert knowledge/expertise on end-to-end business processes and software solution matching.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities concurrently.
  • Process leader: able to manage own workload without supervision.
  • Creative thinker with good problem-solving skills.
  • PMI and Six Sigma certifications a plus.
  • Process manufacturing expertise a plus.
  • Programming experience in any language a plus.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with major coursework in information systems, computer science or other related field, or equivalent experience that is directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.  Master’s degree is preferred but not required.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical procedures, company policies, and sales programs. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure guidelines. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, other employees, customers, and sales representatives.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, percentages.  Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of instructions in mathematical written, verbal, or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.  Strong analytical and creative problem-solving skills. Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.

The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet, but some noise from the production area filters through.
