Position Summary

Bridgestone Golf, manufacturer of the highest quality golf balls in the world, is seeking dedicated, hard-working, quality-conscious operator technicians to join our team. Bridgestone is the leader in innovative technology in the golf ball market and operates a clean, team-oriented, high-tech, lean manufacturing facility located near I-20 in Covington, GA.

Qualified candidates must have a thorough understanding of operations and quality metrics and have an enthusiastic, proactive attitude. 3S and Kaizen experience a plus. Will be required to work rotating shifts, 15-16 days or nights per month, and every other weekend. Opportunity for growth.

SUMMARY
Sets up, operates, prepares raw materials for and adjusts automated mixing equipment to produce rubber that meets established quality standards and specifications.

Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    Performs weight and quantity measurements on necessary raw material.

    Operates automated rubber mixing equipment according to established procedures.

    Adjusts equipment to ensure quality meets established specifications.

    Performs visual and mechanical quality checks to ensure all production meets quality standards.

    Records necessary procedural and quality checks on established charts or graphs.

    Submits daily production reports.

    Operates forklift.

    Maintains clean organized, and safe workplace.

    Other duties may be assigned.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Requires high school diploma, or G.E.D., and one year experience in a manufacturing environment.

Minimum Qualifications

Typically requires a high school degree; or 1-2 year vocational training / associates degree
