(COVINGTON, GA) – Bridgestone Golf Tour team member, Rocco Mediate, returned to the PGA TOUR Champions winner’s circle for the first time in three years on Sunday, with a thrilling victory at the 2019 Sanford International.   Mediate finished birdie-birdie to close out his best single round score of the year – a 64 – winning the event by 2 strokes.  Mediate’s victory with Bridgestone’s TOUR B XS golf ball vaults him into top 25 of the current Charles Schwab Cup points standings.

During development, company engineers used data from nearly 350,000 in-person ball fittings, combined with insights from leading third-party industry sources, to identify needs of specific player types. Mediate carded a 9-under total of 201 to win the 54-hole event in come-from-behind fashion.  Earlier this season, Mediate made the switch to a Bridgestone golf ball after undergoing the first ever ball fitting session of his career.
